Best Tattoo/Piercing Parlor: Sadu. The women of Sadu are strong, sexy and very knowledgeable about all kinds of piercings and fantastic body mods.
Best Place to Live Downtown:
Within walking distance of Thomas Street is the nerve center of
Charlotte's hip underground scene. The alternative crowd doesn't think
of Trade and Tryon as the heart of Charlotte; for us, it's Thomas
Street. It's to downtown Charlotte as the Village is to midtown
Manhattan.
Best Spa: Georgetown Bodyworks. Why? Location, location, location.
Best Furniture Store:
New Waves of Joy. Owner Mike McGuire has been there in his shiny orange
storefront since the earliest days of NoDa selling groovy retro
furniture at prices I can actually afford.
